Adult Ministry

Holston View offers a variety of spiritual growth opportunities for adults in addition to the Sunday Morning Worship hour. There are Sunday School classes for all age groups, as well as both Men's and Ladies'Classes. Most classes are involved in outreach projects and also plan occasional fellowship opportunities throughout the year.

United Methodist Women is an organization dedicated to supporting and expanding missions both at home and abroad.

Local projects in which our UMW is involved include meals for berieved families; flowers to beautify the sanctuary; cards sent to church members and their families in times of joy, sorrow, or illness; monetary contributions to church and district projects; and regular donations of goods and money to Hope House. A prayer chain keeps members informed of special concerns in the community.

Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. and all women are invited to attend.

United Methodist Men meet the first Monday night of the month at 7:00 p.m. Each meeting provides the opportunity for fellowship and an informational program. All men are invited to join in.

UMM is credited for much of the upkeep at the church. The men have coordinated lawn maintenance year-round, snow removal in winter, and various painting projects at both the church and parsonage. They continue to participate in the "Cans for Camp" recycling project, and they contribute generously to other projects of the church. A highlight of each year is the Ladies' Night program which is usually planned near Valentine's Day.

Mary's Circle of Friends is a group of young women who meet the 1st Sunday of the month at 7:05 p.m. for prayer, fellowship, and outreach to the community. It is open to all women of the community.

A supervised nursery is provided during all meetings.

Senior adults will enjoy the fellowship provided by Prime Timers. The group usually meets the 3rd Thursday of each month, but the schedule varies depending on programs and special events. Prime Timers have enjoyed outings to places like Barter Theater and Shatley Springs. Call the church office to find out what's up next!

A variety of Bible Study opportunities is offered in the fall and spring, including Disciple I, II, and II. If you are interested in participating in future classes, call the church office for current offerings and availability. The phone number is 386-3142.
