Holston View's preschool program began in 1972 with one class and has grown
steadily. The current program has five classes: two morning and two
afternoon on M-T-W plus one class that meets on Th-F. Each class is
supervised by two dedicated teachers who have
been with the program several years.
Classes meet for three hours. The morning classes are from 8:30 a.m. to
11:30 a.m. and the afternoon classes are from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Preschool is in session for nine months, beginning on the Tuesday after
Labor Day and ending on the Thursday
before Memorial Day.
Those wishing to enroll their children should call the church office
(540) 386-3142 for information concerning schedules and fees.
Classes are limited to 20 students each, so they fill quickly and there
is often a waiting list.
Holston View's preschool provides a loving atmosphere for children to grow
emotionally, mentally, socially, physically and spiritually. Through a
variety of activities the children develop self-expression, self-control,
and an interest and joy in learning. Above all, each child is given an
opportunity to develop a positive self-image through loving care and
interaction with others.
