Building Use Policy

The Building Use Policy

for

Trinity United Methodist Church

The church building and grounds are used in a variety of ways to meet the needs of the congregation of Trinity United Methodist Church and the surrounding community. It is primarily used as a place of worship, teaching of Christian theology, spiritual enrichment, member fellowship and community outreach, special occasions of members (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.) and the administration of the local church.

The church building is sometimes requested for use by groups outside of the church for various activities. When there is no scheduling conflict with church activities, it is acceptable for certain outside groups to make use of the church building for programs or activities. These outside groups shall be limited to other church congregations, civic organizations, community outreach programs, nonprofit charitable organizations, etc.

The church building and grounds will not be available to political organizations, political actions groups, or an "for profit" business entity.

All requests for the use of the building will be approved by the pastor prior to being placed on the church calendar. Any request not specifically covered by this policy will be determined after consultation between the pastor and the chairperson of the administrative board or at a meeting of the administrative board.
