Weddings reflect the sacred bond between man and woman chosen as an avenue for blessing by our Lord. Trinity celebrates the marriage covenant and regards it as a high and holy calling. Genesis 1:24 Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and cleaves to his wife, and they become one flesh.
Here is a list of things to be considering when planning your wedding at Trinity:
* Make sure you have our secretary put your date on the church calendar.
This will prevent any over scheduling of our facilities.
* Make an appointment to meet with the pastor to plan your event.
Before you meet with the pastor to discuss the Order of Worship for your wedding, be thinking about:
* Religious music or hymns to be sung, played or performed * Scripture that reflects the marriage covenant and your relationship * People that you may want to read poems or prayers * The service of Christian marriage can be found on pages 864 through 869 in The United Methodist Hymnal. * Wedding Hymns are on pages 642 though 647 and pages 953 and 954 of the United Methodist Hymnal.
